I was delighted to take part in the Writers Round Table for The Village Players of Lausanne on 9th April at the Centre Pluriculturel et Social d'Ouchy.
Also present was the writer and director Ilona Horvath, who has published historical fiction. Ilona has been directing and writing plays since 2002: cecilyriley.com
Our discussion included subjects as diverse as the dilemma of form versus content; the pros and cons of directing your own work, and writing with actors in mind, as well as a variety of interesting and engaging questions from the audience that kept us on our toes. It was tremendous to meet with this group of enthusiastic theatre lovers. I'm very much looking forward to future collaborations....
